While the lift top is off it's best to replace the lift piston o-ring, remove and clean the control valve and check the cam pin for wear.The Ford manual says to set the Control Lever at 3.75" from the top stop, the IT book says to set it at 4 1/8" from top stop. If I adjust the draft linkage with it set to 3.75 running out of threads isn't an issue, big difference between the two Control Lever positions.
